KB’s Week in Review: October 31-November 4
Monday:
Today we had fun celebrating Halloween and fall. We enjoyed seeing each other’s costumes and writing about what we wanted Clifford to be for Halloween. We had so much fun experiencing our very first classroom party. The Moms who helped did a great job planning and organizing our party. Our new letter this week is T and our popcorn words are I and Like.
Tuesday:
Today we worked on the “at” word family. We read a story called, A Bat Named Pat and wrote many different “at” words. Mrs. Brown showed us how to do making words and we are excited to try it on our own tomorrow! We worked on our poem book for the letter T.
Wednesday:
Today we worked on the “op” word family. We got to do the making words activity and we made a lot of “op” words. We even got to write those words on a bunny after reading the story, Bop Bop at the Bunny Hop. Today we went to Art and had KinConnect. Thank you to Mrs. Guzman for a great KinConnect activity!
Thursday:Today we worked on the “ug” word family. We read the story, Billy Bug’s New Jug and learned that if we could write the word bug, then we could write a lot of other words too! We had both L.M.C. and P.E. today. In the L.M.C. we read 3 of the Monarch Award books.
Friday:
Today we read the story, The Little Engine That Could, and made our own train with something we would like to try. Look for our trains when you come to Kendall for conferences next week! We practiced writing words that begin with our letter of the week, T. In math we played a game called, Roll and Record. Ask me how to play this. Have a great weekend!
