KB’s Week in Review: November 14-18
Monday:
Today we began our week of “retelling”. We practiced the nursery rhyme, Jack and Jill, and read a little book to help us remember it. We even got to read our little book to a partner. We went to P.E. and music today and had fun!
Tuesday:
Today we made puppets and the scenery to help us retell the nursery rhyme, Jack and Jill. In P.E. we played “turkey bowl” and in music we did square dancing. In Science we began talking about the four seasons. We read a Monarch award book, Panda Kindergarten. Wednesday:
Today we went to art and made eyes for our self-portraits. We read the story, The Gingerbread Man and we made a class book and began making puppets to retell the story. We read another Monarch award book, Otis. In math we learned about the pan balance and we played a game called “monster squeeze”. Jessica Germ came and visited our classroom and taught us all how to keep healthy and stay germ-free! We also learned the correct way to wash our hands.
Thursday:
Today in P.E. we played “fitness tag” and in the L.M.C. we made a book about fall! In math we learned how to measure things using unifix cubes. We talked about what we were thankful for and gave Mr. Turkey some feathers. Today we got to retell the story of The Gingerbread Man to a partner from Mrs. Magnussen’s class.
Friday:
Today we read the story, Caps for Sale, and even made a monkey to go along with it. We also used a peddler and his caps to tell story problems with both addition and subtraction! We had Keira’s All About Me today and she did a fantastic job presenting her poster.
All About Me:
There will not be an All About Me next week due to Thanksgiving break!
