KB’s Week in Review:
Monday:
Today we learned about making a text-to-text connection. We compared the two books, The Three Bears and The Three Little Pigs. We had fun finding things that were the same in both books. We also did shape collages, using magazines to help us! We had Grant’s All About Me today and he did a great job!
Tuesday:
Today we made connections between the two stories, The Enormous Watermelon and The Enormous Carrot. Ask me to tell you what was the same!! We went to both Music and P.E. today and had so much fun.
Wednesday:
Today we had art! We read the stories, One Dog Canoe and The Umbrella and made connections. Ask me to tell you what was the same in both books. We talked about the five senses and made a little book of our favorite things.
Thursday:
Today we went to the computer lab and P.E. In Math we learned about different directions and went outside to do an obstacle course. We went over, around, under, through, up, down, in and out of things. We made connections between the two stories, If You Give a Pig a Pancake and If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.
Friday:
Today Mrs. Horsey came in and worked on our deductive reasoning skills. We had an extra recess this morning since the weather was so beautiful! We read the stories, Brown Bear, Brown Bear and Panda Bear, Panda Bear and made connections. We also did a class book page that you will get to read during conferences. We watched a Magic School Bus video on one of our five senses. Ask me to tell you which sense it was about!!
